What Is Give Hope?

The Christmas season is often the opportunity that individuals and families take to be generous. As a church family, RADIUS Church Lexington was able to gift $50,000 to ten local schools last year through Give Hope. This year, we’re joining forces with RADIUS Church White Knoll to expand our ability to be generous. We want to raise $80,000 for twenty schools in four communities (Lexington, White Knoll, Saluda & Guntakal, India).

Over the years, we’ve learned that teachers, guidance counselors, and administrators have a good perspective on needs within our community.  Through strategic relationships within these schools, we want to spread hope to the families that have the greatest needs in our community. Making funds available to key decision makers is a great way to impact our community with real, (often) unknown needs throughout the year.

Will you consider contributing to this gift of Hope?

Over the years we have learned that administrators, counselors and teachers have a unique opportunity to know the needs in the community. They also have a unique perspective to discern which needs are the greatest and most urgent.

We have strategically chosen these schools because of personal relationships we have with teachers, counselors or administrators within these schools. Also, our international partner, Dr. Stephen Joseph, in Guntakal, India recently opened St. Paul’s Missionary School and is reaching his community with quality, Christian education.

The average American spent $127 on “self-gifting” in 2014. The average adult attendance on Sunday between RADIUS Lexington and RADIUS White Knoll is 800. If all 800 adults reduced the amount they spend on themselves this Christmas season, we could easily reach our goal of $80,000 over and above our normal giving.
