Cleaving (Part 2) – 1 Corinthians 7

This week we wrapped up our talk about sex. In 1 Corinthians 7, Paul is writing to those who are surrounded by sexual immorality. He says, “But since sexual immorality is occurring, each man should have sexual relations with his own wife and each woman with her own husband.” He stresses that both husband and wife have a sexual duty within marriage – even to the point of saying the authority of one’s body yields to the other. John Reeves reminded us that there is beauty in being vulnerable, especially within marriage and our relationship with God. When we allow ourselves to lay our cards down, we begin to enter into a bond that is fueled by selflessness and trust.

If you would like to begin a conversation about following Jesus or would like to talk more about how your story and the Gospel connect, we would love to hear from you. If you have questions, please feel free to ask them here.
