Psalm 78

Psalm 78 begins by Asaph charging his listeners (or readers) to remember the history of God’s goodness to His people and passing those stories along to the next generation. As we celebrated Father’s Day, it is an appropriate charge to fathers (and mothers) who claim to follow Jesus, to do similarly. We are to speak of God’s goodness, teach His commands, and model obedience to Him as our King for our children (the next generation). As the cultural river continues to rise and pick up intensity, we are charged to cling to the Rock and use Him as our foundation to help save others from the rising tide – even our children. As Asaph does in Psalm 78, John Reeves reminded us to share the stories of God’s goodness and glorious kindness to the next generation.

If you would like to begin a conversation about following Jesus or more information on His goodness to us, we would love to hear from you. If you have questions, please feel free to ask them here.
